नारदजी कहते हैं - जब गरुड़जी ने यह सत्य और अच्छी बात कही, तब हजारों यज्ञों को करने वाले, दानी, दानशील, प्रभावशाली और राजसी तेज से युक्त समस्त राजाओं के स्वामी महाराज ययाति ने बार-बार विचार करके निश्चय करके यह बात कही॥1-2॥
Narada says - When Garuda spoke this truth and good thing, then Maharaja Yayati, the one who performs thousands of yagyas, is a donor, a man of charity, influential and the lord of all kings, who radiates royal radiance, after careful consideration again and again, came to a conclusion and said this. ॥ 1-2॥
