अंधकार का नाश करने वाला चन्द्रमा वरुण के समीप रहता है और छहों प्रकार के रसों का पान करके शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा को इसी दिशा में नवीनता प्राप्त करता हुआ उदय होता है॥4॥
The moon, which destroys darkness, stays close to Varuna and after drinking all the six types of essences, rises in the Pratipada of Shukla Paksha, attaining newness in this direction. 4॥
