जब सभी महाबली देवता वृत्रासुर के पास आए, तब वह अपने तेज से दहक रहा था और दसों दिशाओं को झुलसा रहा था, मानो सूर्य और चन्द्रमा अपना प्रकाश फैला रहे हों। इन्द्र सहित सभी देवताओं ने वृत्रासुर को देखा। ऐसा लग रहा था मानो वह तीनों लोकों को निगल जाएगा॥ 15-16॥
When all the mighty gods came near Vritrasur, he was blazing with his brilliance and scorching all the ten directions, as if the Sun and the Moon were spreading their light. All the gods along with Indra saw Vritrasur. It looked as if he would devour all the three worlds.॥ 15-16॥
