इस महाभाग नरेश ने इस देश के समस्त राजाओं को वैश्यों के समान स्वेच्छापूर्वक (अपने अधीन) कर दिया था और कर देने के लिए विवश कर दिया था। (अर्थात् समस्त राजा उसे कर देते थे।) उत्तम व्रतों का पालन करने वाले इस महाराज के घर में प्रतिदिन अट्ठासी हजार अत्यंत बुद्धिमान स्नातक अपनी जीविका चलाते थे। 22-23॥
This Mahabhag Naresh had made all the kings of this country like Vaishyas, willingly (under his control) and forced to pay taxes. (That is, all the kings used to pay taxes to him.) Eighty-eight thousand very intelligent graduates used to earn their livelihood every day in the house of this Maharaja who followed the best fasts. 22-23॥
