अनघ! मैं यहीं आपके पास रहना चाहता हूँ। प्रभु! मैं आपकी इच्छानुसार सब कार्य करता हुआ यहीं रहूँगा।' युधिष्ठिर के वचन सुनकर राजा विराट अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हुए और बोले- 'ब्रह्मन्! आपका स्वागत है।' तत्पश्चात उन्होंने राजाओं में श्रेष्ठ युधिष्ठिर का आदरपूर्वक स्वागत किया। उनका स्वागत करके राजा विराट ने प्रसन्न मन से उनसे कहा- 'पिताजी! मैं आपसे प्रेमपूर्वक पूछ रहा हूँ कि आप इस समय किस राजा के राज्य से यहाँ आये हैं?'॥9-10॥

Thereafter he respectfully received Yudhishthira, the best of kings. After receiving him, King Virat said to him with a happy heart- 'Father! I am asking you lovingly, from which king's kingdom have you come here at this time?॥ 9-10॥
