त्रिभिस्त्रिवेणुं समरे द्वाभ्यामक्षं महारथ:।
द्वादशेन तु भल्लेन चकर्तास्य ध्वजं तदा॥ ३७॥
ततो वज्रनिकाशेन फाल्गुन: प्रहसन्निव।
त्रयोदशेनेन्द्रसम: कृपं वक्षस्यविध्यत॥ ३८॥ |

| फिर अर्जुन ने तीन बाणों से उनके रथ के तीन बंसी काट डाले, दो बाणों से उनके रथ का धुरा और भल्ल नामक बारहवें बाण से उनके रथ की ध्वजा काट डाली। इसके बाद इंद्र के समान शक्तिशाली फाल्गुन ने मुस्कुराते हुए कृपाचार्य की छाती में वज्र के समान प्रबल तेरहवें बाण से प्रहार किया। |

| Then with three arrows Arjuna cut off the three flutes of his chariot, with two arrows he cut off the axle of his chariot and with the twelfth arrow called Bhalla he cut off the flag of his chariot.
