तदनन्तर महाबली कुन्तीपुत्र अर्जुन ने क्रोध में भरकर बाणों की विचित्र कलाओं का प्रदर्शन करते हुए समस्त दिशाओं को बाणों की वर्षा से आच्छादित कर दिया तथा आकाश को सब ओर से घोर अन्धकार में डुबो दिया।
