कौरव सेना में विचरण करते हुए अर्जुन ने महारथी राजा शत्रुताप के बाणों से घायल होकर तुरन्त ही पाँच बाणों से उसे घायल कर दिया। फिर उसने अपने सारथि को दस बाणों से घायल करके उसे यमलोक भेज दिया॥12॥
