दुर्योधन ने कहा, 'किन्तु पितामह, मैं पाण्डवों को राज्य नहीं दूँगा। (अतः उनसे सन्धि नहीं हो सकती।) युद्ध में जो भी कार्य उपयोगी हो, उसे शीघ्रतापूर्वक पूरा किया जाना चाहिए।'
Duryodhan said, 'But, my grandfather, I will not give the kingdom to the Pandavas. (Therefore, there cannot be a treaty with them.) Whatever work is useful in the war should be completed quickly.'
