| शत्रु-संहारक अर्जुन द्वारा बजाया गया वह महाशंख चन्द्रमा के समान चमकीला प्रतीत हो रहा था। उस शंख की प्रचण्ड ध्वनि वर्षा ऋतु में बादलों की गर्जना के समान सुनाई दे रही थी। शंख की ध्वनि, धनुष की टंकार, वानरों की गर्जना और रथ के पहियों की गड़गड़ाहट से इन्द्रपुत्र अर्जुन ने समस्त चराचर प्राणियों के मन में महान भय उत्पन्न कर दिया। |

| The great conch which was blown by the enemy-destroyer Arjuna appeared to be as bright as the moon. The loud sound of that conch was heard like the roar of the clouds during the rainy season. With the sound of the conch, the twirling of the bow, the roar of the monkeys and the rattling of the wheels of the chariot, Indra's son Arjuna instilled great fear in the minds of all the moving creatures. |
