वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं - 'जनमेजय! मूर्ख उत्तर तो साधारण पुरुष था और वेशधारी सव्यसाची अर्जुन असाधारण योद्धा था। अतः वह उनके पराक्रम को न जानकर मूर्खतापूर्वक उनके समीप रहकर भी उनके सामने विलाप करने लगा॥16॥
Vaishampayana says, 'Janamejaya! The foolish Uttara was an ordinary man and the disguised Savyasachi Arjuna was an extraordinary warrior. Therefore, not knowing their power, he foolishly started lamenting in front of them even while staying near them.॥16॥
