राजकुमार उत्तर ने दूर से ही बृहन्नला को देखकर कहा, "बृहन्नला! अर्जुन ने तुम्हें अपना सारथी बनाकर खांडव वन की अग्नि को शांत किया था। इतना ही नहीं, कुंतीपुत्र धनंजय ने तुम्हारे जैसे सारथी की सहायता से ही समस्त पृथ्वी पर विजय प्राप्त की है।" सैरंध्री तुम्हारे विषय में यह बात इसलिए कह रही थी क्योंकि वह पांडवों को भली-भाँति जानती है।
