उच्चावचं बलं ज्ञात्वा मध्यस्थं चापि भारत।
प्रहृष्टमप्रहृष्टं च संदधाम तथा परै:॥ १०॥

भारत! उत्तम, मध्यम और निकृष्ट - इन तीन प्रकार की सेनाओं की स्थिति को समझो। उत्तम और मध्यम सेनाएँ सुखी हैं या दुःखी, यह जान लो; तब हम शत्रुओं के साथ संधि या युद्ध कर सकेंगे॥ 10॥
‘Bharat! Understand the state of the three types of armies – the best, the medium and the worst. Know whether the best and the medium armies are happy or unhappy; then we can make peace (a treaty or a battle) with the enemies.॥ 10॥
