वैशम्पायन उवाच
इत्युक्त्वा स महाबाहुर्विजजृम्भे जिघांसया।
तत: स व्यायतं कृत्वा वेषं विपरिवर्त्य च॥ १७॥
अद्वारेणाभ्यवस्कन्द्य निर्जगाम बहिस्तदा।
स भीमसेन: प्राकारादारुह्य तरसा द्रुमम्॥ १८॥
अनुवाद
वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं - हे राजन! ऐसा कहकर बलवान भीमसेन ने उपकीचकों को मारने के लिए हाथ बढ़ाया और बड़े प्रयत्न से वेश बदलकर बिना द्वार खोले ही दीवार फांदकर रसोई से बाहर निकल गए। फिर वे नगर की दीवार को लांघकर बड़े वेग से एक वृक्ष पर चढ़ गए (और वहीं से देखने लगे कि उपकीचक द्रौपदी को कहाँ ले जा रहे हैं)।॥ 17-18॥
Vaishampayana says - O King! Having said this, the powerful Bhimasena stretched himself to kill Upakeechakas and after changing his disguise with great effort jumped out of the kitchen by jumping over the wall without opening the door. Then he crossed the city wall and climbed a tree with great speed (and from there he started watching where Upakeechakas were taking Draupadi).॥ 17-18॥
