द्रौपदी को प्रिय लगने वाले इस महान् एवं कठिन कार्य को करके तथा पूर्वोक्त रीति से कीचक का वध करके तथा उसके क्रोध को शान्त करके भीमसेन द्रौपदी से पूछकर पुनः रसोईघर में चले गए। इस प्रकार कीचक का वध करके कन्याओं में श्रेष्ठ द्रौपदी अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हुई। उसके समस्त शोक दूर हो गए। फिर वह सभाभवन के रक्षकों के पास जाकर बोली -॥88-89॥
After having done this great and difficult deed which was liked by Draupadi and having killed Keechak as mentioned above and having calmed his anger, Bhimasena went back to the kitchen after asking Draupadi. Draupadi, the best of the girls, was very happy after having killed Keechak in this manner. All her sorrows were dispelled. Then she went to the guards of the assembly hall and said -॥ 88-89॥
