वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं - जनमेजय! तत्पश्चात् नगर की सीमा के पीछे मिट्टी के ऊँचे टीले के पास एक और सुन्दर पुरुष दिखाई दिया। वह दीर्घायु था। उसने स्त्रियों के योग्य आभूषण पहने हुए थे, उसके कानों में बड़े-बड़े कुण्डल थे, हाथों में शंख के कंगन थे और उसके ऊपर सुन्दर सोने के कंगन थे॥1॥
Vaishampayana says - Janamejaya! Thereafter, near the high mound of earth which was behind the boundary wall of the city, another man adorned with beauty was seen. He was of tall stature. He was wearing ornaments suitable for women and had big earrings in his ears and bangles of conch shells in his hands and had worn beautiful gold bracelets over them.॥1॥
