'उन्होंने मुझसे कहा - द्विजोत्तम! इसमें संदेह नहीं कि तुम घूमते-घूमते मनुष्यलोक में भी जाओगे; अतः मेरे कहने पर तुम राजा युधिष्ठिर के पास जाओ और उनसे यह कहो - 'राजन्! तुम्हारा भाई अर्जुन शस्त्रविद्या में निपुण हो गया है। अब वह देवताओं का एक महान कार्य, जिसे स्वयं देवता भी नहीं कर सकते, सम्पन्न करके शीघ्र ही तुम्हारे पास आएगा; तब तक तुम भी अपने भाइयों के साथ तपस्या में लग जाओ; क्योंकि तपस्या से बढ़कर कोई दूसरा साधन नहीं है। तपस्या महान फल देती है।'
‘He said to me – Dvijottam! There is no doubt that while roaming around you will also go to the world of humans; therefore on my request you should go to King Yudhishthira and tell him this – ‘King! Your brother Arjun has become proficient in the art of weapons. Now he will accomplish a great task of the gods, which the gods themselves cannot do, and will soon come to you; until then you should also engage yourself in penance along with your brothers; because there is no other means better than penance. Penance yields great results.
