'जहाँ समस्त प्राणियों के आत्मा भगवान ब्रह्मा ने पहले ही यज्ञ किया था। भरतकुलभूषण! ब्रह्माजी के उस स्वाभाविक यज्ञ के कारण ही उस स्थान का नाम 'प्रयाग' पड़ा।
'Where Lord Brahma, the soul of all living beings, had already performed the yagya. Bharatkulbhushan! Due to that natural sacrifice of Brahmaji, the name of that place became 'Prayag'.
