योऽस्त्रवेगानिलबल: शरार्चिस्तलनि:स्वन:।
रजोधूमोऽस्त्रसम्पातो धार्तराष्ट्रानिलोद्धत:॥ १०॥
निसृष्ट इव कालेन युगान्ते ज्वलनो महान्।
मम सैन्यमयं कक्षं प्रधक्ष्यति न संशय:॥ ११॥ |

| 'काल ने उसे प्रलयकाल में संवर्तक नामक महाअग्नि के समान उत्पन्न किया है। शस्त्रों का वेग वायु के समान उसका बल है। बाण उसकी ज्वालाएँ हैं। ताड़ की ध्वनि उस प्रज्वलित अग्नि की ध्वनि है। युद्ध में उड़ती हुई धूल उस कर्णरूपी अग्नि का धुआँ है। शस्त्रों की वर्षा उसकी ज्वालाओं का प्रभाव है। धृतराष्ट्रपुत्र रूपी वायु का साथ पाकर वह और भी अधिक अभिमानी और प्रज्वलित हो गया है। सूखे तिनकों के ढेर के समान वह मेरी सेना को जला डालेगा, इसमें संदेह नहीं है।' |
