षट्सु शम्यानिपातेषु वल्मीकादिति निश्चय:।
कपिलानां सहस्रं च वाजिमेधं च विन्दति॥ ९॥

| जहाँ जल है, वहाँ से कुएँ की दूरी छः शम्यानिपात है। यही निश्चित माप है। हे पुरुषश्रेष्ठ! उस तीर्थ में स्नान करने से मनुष्य को सहस्र कपिलादान और अश्वमेध यज्ञ का फल मिलता है; ऐसा प्राचीन ऋषियों ने प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव किया है॥9 1/2॥ |
