हे मनुष्यों के स्वामी! ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जिस देवी ने उत्तम व्रत का पालन किया था, उसने एक हजार दिव्य वर्षों तक एक-एक मास केवल शाक खाया था। देवी की भक्ति से प्रभावित होकर अनेक तपस्वी ऋषि वहाँ आये। हे प्रभु! देवी ने उन ऋषियों का भी शाक से ही सत्कार किया। 14-15।
O Lord of men! It is said that the Goddess who observed the best fast, ate only vegetables for one month each for a thousand divine years. Impressed by the devotion of the Goddess, many sages who were ascetics came there. O Lord! The Goddess also hosted those sages with vegetables only. 14-15.
