यमाश्रित्य महाबाहुं पाञ्चाला: कुरवस्तथा।
सुराणामपि मत्तानां पृतनासु न बिभ्यति॥ २०॥
यस्य बाहू समाश्रित्य वयं सर्वे महात्मन:।
मन्यामहे जितानाजौ परान् प्राप्तां च मेदिनीम्॥ २१॥
तमृते फाल्गुनं वीरं न लभे काम्यके धृतिम्।
पश्यामि च दिश: सर्वास्तिमिरेणावृता इव। |

| महाबली अर्जुन का आश्रय लेकर पांचाल और कुरुवंश के योद्धा युद्ध के लिए तत्पर देवताओं की सेना का सामना करने से भी नहीं डरते, जिन महात्मा की भुजाओं के बल से हम सब यह मानते हैं कि हमारे शत्रु युद्ध में पराजित हो गए हैं और इस पृथ्वी का राज्य हमारे अधीन हो गया है, उन वीर अर्जुन के बिना हम काम्यकवन में धैर्य धारण करने में असमर्थ हैं। मुझे तो समस्त दिशाएँ अंधकार से आच्छादित प्रतीत होती हैं। |
