‘पहले जब तुम वन में दुःखी होकर रात-दिन मेरे लिए विलाप करते थे और उस समय दुविधा में पड़कर तुमने मुझे शाप दिया था, वही कलियुग तुम्हारे शाप से दग्ध होकर मेरे शरीर में रहता था, जैसे अग्नि में अग्नि रहती है; उसी प्रकार वह कलियुग तुम्हारे शाप से दग्ध होकर मेरे भीतर सदैव रहता था॥18-19॥
‘Earlier when you were sad in the forest and used to mourn for me day and night and at that time when you were in a dilemma, you had cursed me, that same Kali Yuga used to live in my body being burnt by your curse, like fire kept in a fire; in the same way that Kali, burnt by your curse, used to live within me always.॥ 18-19॥
