'पति ने उसके साथ आदरपूर्वक व्यवहार किया हो या नहीं - जब वह उसे ऐसी कठिन परिस्थिति में देखे, तो उसे क्षमा कर देना चाहिए; क्योंकि वह राज्य और धन से वंचित हो गया, भूख से पीड़ित हो गया और दुख के अथाह सागर में डूब गया।'॥12॥
'Whether the husband has treated her with respect or not - she should forgive him when she sees him in such a difficult situation; for he was deprived of his kingdom and wealth, was suffering from hunger and was drowning in a fathomless ocean of misery.'॥ 12॥
