बहुत सोच-विचार के बाद राजा ने निश्चय किया कि उनकी पुत्री अब युवा हो गई है, अतः दमयन्ती के लिए स्वयंवर का आयोजन करना उन्होंने अपना परम कर्तव्य समझा ॥8॥
After much thought and deliberation the king decided that his daughter had now attained youth, and therefore he considered it his primary duty to organize a swayamvara for Damayanti. ॥8॥
