‘जब भगवान शंकर ने त्रिपुरासुर की तीन नगरियों को नष्ट कर दिया था, तब उन्होंने इसी अस्त्र का प्रयोग किया था; जिसके प्रभाव से बड़े-बड़े राक्षस जलकर भस्म हो गए थे॥39॥
