अर्थत्यागोऽपि कार्य: स्यादर्थं श्रेयांसमिच्छता।
बीजौपम्येन कौन्तेय मा ते भूदत्र संशय:॥ ६५॥
अनुवाद
'कुन्तीकुमार! जिस प्रकार किसान अधिक अन्न उत्पन्न करने की इच्छा से भूमि में अन्न आदि के कम बीज छोड़ता है, उसी प्रकार उत्तम अर्थ की प्राप्ति की इच्छा से अल्प अर्थ का त्याग भी किया जा सकता है। इसमें तुम्हें संदेह नहीं करना चाहिए ॥65॥
'Kuntikumar! Just as a farmer, in his desire to produce more food, leaves behind less seeds of grain etc. in the land, in the same way, a lesser meaning can be sacrificed in the desire of getting better meaning. You should not doubt about this. 65॥
