तस्य नाशे विनाशे वा जरया मरणेन वा।
अनर्थ इति मन्यन्ते सोऽयमस्मासु वर्तते॥ ३६॥ |

| ‘जब मनुष्य के पास वह धन नहीं रहता, अथवा उसका अर्जित धन नष्ट हो जाता है, अथवा जब उसकी स्त्री आदि धन जीर्ण-शीर्ण होकर नष्ट हो जाते हैं, तब उसकी जो दशा होती है, उसे सभी लोग विपत्ति ही मानते हैं। इस समय हमने भी यही अनुभव किया है॥ 36॥ |
