यस्य धर्मो हि धर्मार्थं क्लेशभाङ् न स पण्डित:।
न स धर्मस्य वेदार्थं सूर्यस्यान्ध: प्रभामिव॥ २३॥
अनुवाद
जिसका धर्म केवल धर्म के लिए है, जो धर्म के नाम पर केवल दुःख उठाता है, वह बुद्धिमान नहीं है। जैसे अंधा व्यक्ति सूर्य के तेज को नहीं समझता, वैसे ही वह धर्म का अर्थ भी नहीं समझता।॥23॥
A person whose religion is only for the sake of religion, who only suffers in the name of religion, is not wise. Just like a blind person does not understand the brightness of the sun, similarly he does not understand the meaning of religion.॥ 23॥
