दृश्यते हि हठाच्चैव दिष्टाच्चार्थस्य संतति:।
किंचिद् दैवाद्धठात् किंचित् किंचिदेव स्वभावत:॥ ३४॥
पुरुष: फलमाप्नोति चतुर्थं नात्र कारणम्।
कुशला: प्रतिजानन्ति ये वै तत्त्वविदो जना:॥ ३५॥ |

| क्योंकि देखा जाता है कि सभी कर्म हठ और प्रारब्ध से क्रमपूर्वक संपन्न होते रहते हैं। जो बुद्धिमान और कुशल हैं, वे निश्चयपूर्वक कहते हैं कि मनुष्य कुछ फल प्रारब्ध से, कुछ हठ से और कुछ स्वभाव से प्राप्त करता है। इस विषय में इन तीनों के अतिरिक्त कोई चौथा कारण नहीं है। ॥34-35॥ |

| Because it is seen that all the works are being accomplished sequentially by obstinacy and destiny. Those who are wise and skilful say with certainty that man attains some fruits by destiny, some by obstinacy and some by nature.
