एक साधु ब्राह्मण की मथानी (रस्सी से बंधी) और अरणी (एक प्रकार की लकड़ी) एक पेड़ पर लटकी हुई थी। एक हिरण वहाँ आया और पेड़ से अपना शरीर रगड़ने लगा। तभी दोनों लकड़ियाँ हिरण के सींगों में फँस गईं।
A sage Brahmin's churning stick (tied with a rope) along with the Arani (a kind of stick) was hanging on a tree. A deer came there and started rubbing its body against the tree. At that time both the sticks got stuck in the horns of the deer.
