हे राजन! मैंने अपना मूसल एक वृक्ष पर रखा था। एक हिरण वहाँ आया और वृक्ष से अपना शरीर रगड़ने लगा और वे दोनों लकड़ियाँ उसके सींगों में गड़ गईं। वह महामृग उन लकड़ियों को लेकर बड़ी तेजी से भागा और बहुत तेज गति से आश्रम से बहुत दूर निकल गया॥12-13॥
‘O King! I had kept my mortar and pestle on a tree. A deer came there and started rubbing its body against the tree and those two sticks got stuck in its horns. That great deer took those sticks and ran away in great haste and being very fast, it galloped very far from the ashram.॥ 12-13॥
