श्री रामचन्द्रजी के मन में यह संदेह उत्पन्न हुआ कि सम्भव है कि सीता किसी पुरुष के स्पर्श से अपवित्र हो गई हों; अतः उन्होंने विदेहनन्दिनी सीता से स्पष्ट शब्दों में कहा - 'विदेहकुमारी! मैंने तुम्हें रावण की कैद से मुक्त कर दिया है। अब तुम जाओ। मैंने अपना कर्तव्य पूरा कर दिया है॥10॥
A doubt arose in the mind of Shri Ramchandraji that it is possible that Sita may have become impure by the touch of a man; therefore, he said to Videhanandini Sita in clear words - 'Videh Kumari! I have freed you from Ravana's captivity. Now you go. I have completed my duty.॥10॥
