इसी प्रकार अर्जुन ने सौवीरों (योद्धाओं के राजा) जयद्रथ को पकड़ने की इच्छा से सेना के अग्रभाग में स्थित पाँच सौ वीर पर्वतीय योद्धाओं को मार डाला ॥8॥
Similarly, Arjuna, wishing to capture the Sauviras (king of warriors) Jayadratha, killed five hundred valiant mountain warriors who were stationed in the front of the army. ॥ 8॥
