जैसे सरोवर में रहने वाला महान् सर्प गरुड़ द्वारा पकड़े जाने पर व्याकुल हो जाता है, जैसे राजाविहीन राज्य निर्धन हो जाता है और जैसे धूर्त मनुष्यों द्वारा पी जाने पर रस से भरा हुआ घड़ा अचानक खाली हो जाता है, वैसे ही मुझे ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि काम्यकवन भी शत्रुओं द्वारा दुःख से युक्त हो गया है।॥5॥
Just as a great serpent living in a lake becomes agitated when caught by Garuda, just as a kingdom without a king becomes destitute and just as a pitcher full of juice suddenly appears empty when it is drunk by cunning people, in the same way it seems to me that Kamyakavana too has been wrought with misery by the enemies.'॥ 5॥
