यह सुनकर कमलनेत्र भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने द्रौपदी से पुनः कहा, "कृष्णा! मैं भूख और थकान के कारण अधीर हो रहा हूँ और तुम हँस रही हो। यह समय हास्य का नहीं है। जाओ और शीघ्र ही घड़ा लाकर मुझे दिखाओ।" इस प्रकार आग्रह करते हुए भगवान ने द्रौपदी से घड़ा लाने को कहा। उसके गले में एक छोटी-सी सब्जी फंसी हुई थी। उसे देखकर श्रीकृष्ण ने उसे लेकर खा लिया और द्रौपदी से कहा, "इस सब्जी से समस्त जगत की आत्मा, यज्ञों के भोक्ता, परम प्रभु श्री हरि तृप्त और संतुष्ट हों।"
Hearing this, the lotus-eyed Lord Krishna again said to Draupadi, "Krishna! I am getting impatient due to hunger and fatigue and you are laughing. This is not the time for jokes. Go quickly and bring the pot and show me." Thus, insisting, the Lord asked Draupadi to bring the pot. There was a little vegetable stuck around its neck. Seeing it, Shri Krishna took it and ate it and said to Draupadi, "May the soul of the entire universe, the enjoyer of sacrifices, the Supreme Lord Shri Hari, be satisfied and contented with this vegetable."
