सत्यमार्जवमक्रोध: संविभागो दम: शम:॥ १७॥
अनसूयाविहिंसा च शौचमिन्द्रियसंयम:।
पावनानि महाराज नराणां पुण्यकर्मणाम्॥ १८॥
अनुवाद
महाराज! सत्य, सरलता, क्रोध का अभाव, देवताओं और अतिथियों को अर्पण करके भोजन करना, आत्मसंयम, आत्मसंयम, दूसरों के दोषों को न देखना, हिंसा न करना, भीतर-बाहर से पवित्रता बनाए रखना तथा समस्त इन्द्रियों को वश में रखना - ये सब पवित्र करने वाले पुण्यात्मा पुरुष के गुण हैं॥ 17-18॥
Maharaj! Truth, simplicity, absence of anger, eating food after offering it to the gods and guests, self-control, self-control, not looking at the faults of others, not committing violence, maintaining purity from inside and outside and keeping all the senses under control - these are the virtues of a pious man who purifies everyone.॥ 17-18॥
