गते त्रयोदशे वर्षे सत्येनायुधमालभे।
आनयिष्याम्यहं पार्थान् वशं तव जनाधिप॥ ४३॥
अनुवाद
महाराज ! मैं धनुष को स्पर्श करके सत्यनिष्ठा से यह शपथ लेता हूँ कि तेरहवाँ वर्ष व्यतीत होते ही मैं पाण्डवों को आपके अधीन कर दूँगा ॥43॥
Maharaj! I touch the bow and take this oath with sincerity that as soon as the thirteenth year is over, I will bring the Pandavas under your control. 43॥
