तब वे ब्राह्मण, जो व्रत का पालन करने वाले और वेदों के ज्ञाता थे, एकाग्रचित्त होकर मंत्र पढ़ते हुए जलती हुई अग्नि में घी और खीर की आहुति देने लगे॥25॥
Then the Brahmins, who strictly observed the fast and were experts in the Vedas, became concentrated and started offering ghee and kheer to the burning fire while reciting mantras. 25॥
