तत्पश्चात समस्त गंधर्व संगठित होकर कौरवों से भिड़ गए। उस समय उन दोनों में भयंकर युद्ध होने लगा, जो रोंगटे खड़े कर देने वाला था। तत्पश्चात कौरवों के बाणों से घायल होकर गंधर्व दुर्बल होने लगे और उन्हें पीड़ा में देखकर कौरव योद्धा जोर-जोर से गर्जना करने लगे।
