अत्यन्त बुद्धिमान सारथीपुत्र कर्ण के आक्रमण से गन्धर्वगण वहाँ सैकड़ों-हजारों की संख्या में एकत्र होने लगे। इस प्रकार चित्रसेन के अत्यन्त तेज सैनिकों के आ जाने से क्षण भर में ही वहाँ की समस्त भूमि गन्धर्वों से भर गई।
