ब्रह्म! तू जान कि सत्त्वगुण (प्रकाश), रजोगुण (प्रवृत्ति) और तमोगुण (आसक्ति)—ये जीवात्मा हैं; अर्थात् आत्मा के अन्तःकरण में विकार हैं, आत्मा ही आत्मा का गुण (सेवक) है और आत्मा ही ईश्वर का स्वरूप है। तात्पर्य यह है कि यहाँ ईश्वर को ही आत्मा कहा गया है॥21॥
