मातॄस्तु गौरवादन्ये पितॄनन्ये तु मेनिरे।
दुष्करं कुरुते माता विवर्धयति या प्रजा:॥ १७॥

कुछ लोग माता को गौरव की दृष्टि से महान मानते हैं। कुछ लोग पिता को महत्व देते हैं। परन्तु जो माता अपने बच्चों का पालन-पोषण करके उन्हें बड़ा बनाती है, वह बहुत कठिन कार्य है ॥17॥
Some people consider mothers to be great in terms of pride. Others give importance to fathers. But the mother who nurtures her children and makes them big is a very difficult task. ॥ 17॥
