मार्कण्डेय जी बोले, 'हे राजन! ब्राह्मण जप, मन्त्र-पाठ, होम, स्वाध्याय और वेदों के अध्ययन द्वारा वेद रूपी नौका बनाकर दूसरों को तथा स्वयं को भी भवसागर से पार उतारते हैं।
Mārkaṇḍeya said, 'O King! By creating a boat of Vedas through japa, mantra recitation, homa, self-study and study of the Vedas, the Brahmins help others to cross the ocean and themselves also.
