विद्वान पुरुष कहते हैं कि ऋतु के प्रारंभ के दिन दिया गया दान दस गुना अधिक फल देता है और संक्रांति आदि के दिन दिया गया दान सौ गुना अधिक फल देता है। इसी प्रकार ग्रहण के दिन दिया गया दान हजार गुना अधिक फल देता है और विषुव के दिन दान देने से मनुष्य उसका अक्षय पुण्य फल भोगता है।॥126॥
Learned men say that charity given on the day of the beginning of a season is ten times more and on the day of the solstices etc. it is hundred times more. Similarly, charity given on the day of an eclipse is thousand times more fruitful and by giving charity on the day of equinox, a person enjoys its inexhaustible virtuous fruit.॥126॥
