चक्षुर्दद्यान्मनो दद्याद् वाचं दद्याच्च सूनृताम्।
अनुव्रजेदुपासीत स यज्ञ: पञ्चदक्षिण:॥ ६१॥
अनुवाद
अतिथि को नेत्र (प्रेम भरी दृष्टि से देखना), मन (उसके हित का विचार करना) और मधुर वचन (सत्य, मधुर वचन और हितकारी बातें बोलना) दो। जब वह जाने लगे, तो कुछ दूर तक उसके पीछे-पीछे जाओ और जब तक वह घर पर रहे, तब तक उसके पास बैठो (उसकी सेवा करो)। यह पाँच प्रकार की हविओं से युक्त अतिथि यज्ञ है॥ 61॥
Give the guest eyes (look at him with loving eyes), mind (think about his welfare) and sweet words (speak the truth, sweet words and things that are beneficial). When he starts leaving, follow him for some distance and sit near him (serve him) as long as he is at home. This is a guest sacrifice with five types of offerings.॥ 61॥
