रागाभिभूत: पुरुष: कामेन परिकृष्यते।
इच्छा संजायते तस्य ततस्तृष्णा विवर्धते॥ ३४॥
तृष्णा हि सर्वपापिष्ठा नित्योद्वेगकरी स्मृता।
अधर्मबहुला चैव घोरा पापानुबन्धिनी॥ ३५॥
अनुवाद
काम वासना के वशीभूत मनुष्य को आकर्षित करता है। फिर उसके मन में विषय-सुख की इच्छा उत्पन्न होती है। तत्पश्चात् तृष्णा बढ़ने लगती है। तृष्णा को सबसे अधिक पापमय (पाप की ओर ले जाने वाली) और निरंतर कष्ट देने वाली कहा गया है। प्रायः यह पाप कर्मों की ओर ले जाती है। यह मनुष्य को पापों के घोर बंधन में डाल देती है॥ 34-35॥
‘Kama attracts the person under the influence of passion. Then the desire for sexual pleasure arises in his mind. Thereafter, the craving starts increasing. Craving is said to be the most sinful (leading to sin) and causing constant distress. Usually, it leads to sinful acts. It puts one into the most terrible bondage of sins.॥ 34-35॥
