तत्पश्चात् कबूतर ने राजा से कहा - 'महाराज! मैं बाज के भय से अपने प्राण बचाने के लिए आपकी शरण में आया हूँ। मैं कबूतर नहीं, साक्षात् ऋषि हूँ। मैंने अपनी इच्छा से पूर्व शरीर बदला है। आप ही मेरे प्राण हैं, क्योंकि आप ही मेरे प्राणों के रक्षक हैं। मैं आपकी शरण में हूँ, कृपया मेरी रक्षा कीजिए।॥6॥
Thereafter the pigeon said to the king - 'Maharaj! I have come to you seeking refuge to save my life from the fear of the hawk. I am not a pigeon but a sage in reality. I have changed my body from my previous body voluntarily. You are my life as you are the protector of my life. I am in your refuge, please save me.॥ 6॥
