यत् त्वमेनं सायकं घोररूपं
विषेण दिग्धं मम संदधासि।
न त्वेतं त्वं शरवर्षं विमोक्तुं

| वामदेव जी बोले - हे मनुष्यों के स्वामी! आप मुझे मारने के लिए इस विष में डूबे हुए विशाल बाण को धनुष पर चढ़ा रहे हैं, किन्तु मैं आपसे कहता हूँ कि आप इस बाण को न तो धनुष पर चढ़ा सकेंगे और न ही छोड़ सकेंगे। |
