एवं ब्रुवन्नेव स यातुधानै-
र्हतो जगामाशु महीं क्षितीश:।
ततो विदित्वा नृपतिं निपातित-
मिक्ष्वाकवो वै दलमभ्यषिञ्चन्॥ ५९॥
अनुवाद
ऐसा कहते ही राजा शाल उन राक्षसों द्वारा मारे गए और तुरंत गिर पड़े। जब इक्ष्वाकु वंश के क्षत्रियों को पता चला कि राजा मारे गए हैं, तो उन्होंने उनके छोटे भाई दल को राजा बना दिया।
As soon as he said this, King Shal was killed by those demons and fell down immediately. When the Kshatriyas of the Ikshvaku dynasty came to know that the king has been killed, they crowned his younger brother Dal as the king.
